Day 203 - April 25th, 2741

Its been a couple days. Nothing really happening around us though we did have a brief scare this morning. Heard something on a different path but too faint to pick up on, even with the stone.

In the meantime, since I've opened up to Brick about my past, I've been egging him to do the same. Eventually he did, but it was in bits and pieces over these last couple days.

He was born in another continent of Sol, one under complete control of STEEL. A military city, designation ST-04 in the province of Titanium. People there were born, raised, lived, and died all under the banner of STEEL, and Brick was no different. He was big even as a child, so he was fast-tracked at an early age to become a capable soldier. And when he proved he had brain to go with his brawn, a leader.

He was loyal, but it seemed the loyalty only went one way. He was part of a large scale operation in orbit around Sol, lead by commander Johnathon Kirk. The mission was a failure, and many survivors crashed landed on Sol. When trying to re-establish connections with STEEL, they learned their mission was a lie. They were sent to their deaths, a distraction so STEEL could extract a handful of wealthy STEEL directors.

Disgusted by the betrayal, the survivors banded together, salvaged what they could, and made way to a nearby STEEL training grounds, long since abandoned. Quincy.

Kirk lead the new gang until a power struggle some years later killed him off and several others, leading a man named 'Ryder' taking over. Whose been on a conquest ever since.

Fuck me, these were the same guys I encountered back in January. I don't think Brick knows this, so I'll keep it quiet. Just what were these guys up to?
