Yes, I used a reference, but I stripped it of the detail and added my own bit. If anything, I think this will be the style that I'll be approaching from now on.

D'aww, ty.

Though, what I'm trying to do is tackle a slight cartoon style with a bigger mesh of realism. Personally the eyes are my favorite thing about it. But thanks very much for the suggestion. :3
