Toy Maker had been hunting for Smiley for months a serial killer who's kill counts were in the double digits and who's murder ritual was as unique and twisted as him, making voodoo dolls of his victims before mutilating them in the same way he would do so to his victim either by slicing their mouth, ripping out their eyes or removing their heart. Toy Maker eventually managed to find Smiley while the rather large hobo like cat was in the middle of sneaking out of the city he had committed his last crime in by trying to stowaway on a train. Smiley despite his name was rather vicious and nearly managed to kill Toy Maker in their confrontation though Toy Maker was able to turn the tide in the end transforming Smiley into one of his voodoo dolls before adding him to his collection.
Smiley after being discarded on Toy Maker's island built a home inside of a golfer den after killing the golfer he doesn't do much else but makes crafts out of small animal bones and feathers in his spare time.
