A picture drawn to the theme of Cake's song, Building a Religion. With some theme-related stuff from that. Ninn commissioned me for this like 3 yeaaars ago but the original got wet and I had to redraw it. Almost forgot about it! Damn leaky walls ruinin' my art. Lost some good paper like that >8|
Razerz: "DUDE!"
Too important to miss out on that.
Ninn is wearing his "Onion-head-hat"
Despite a few mistakes I am very happy with how this turned out :D All the ink is good and just how I wanted it. There's something hilarious to me about The Bunny's legs. But he looks so chic.
My illustration teacher would kill me for making a vignette collage like this with such an inappropriate counter-movement on the right side. Oh art school. COMPOSITION IS OFF-BALANCE with a Bronx accent and then I would fail the class again.
And the hole that's residing in the middle of the eye is part of the 3-ring bind that holds it in, but I thought it was cool so I left it in the scan X3

An opposition to a movement. A movement is a line, symbol, or general flow of an image. They can be used to channel the energy of an image, form a border, combine like elements, create a focal point, and any number of things such as that. They were much, much more important in pre-20th century artwork but we kind of spoiled all those thousands of years of artistic function in just a few free expression movements. It kind of dropped out of context and for that reason I recommend learning art history to everyone.
So, with the way the fluffy white lines that the airplane left behind, drifting right in front of the waning of the moon, paired with the bottom border of the suitcase filled with cash forms a border on the left side of the composition. If I were paying more attention to how I did that, I would, and should have ALSO formed a border on the right side of the composition. Another option would be to accentuate the movement toward the left side, and have things facing in towards it so that the border 'cradles it'. The way I have the right side set up now, it's just a chaotic jumble that I really could have done more with but was out of ideas. Sometimes I get flustered when trying to finish these.
