Recent artwork for myself with Ayrai in this old chibish manga/ anime style <3 experiments with the style are easiest for me with my own ocs not only because i know their designs ets, but i also dont have external pressure ;D and tbh imsuuuuper happy with this piece! Lately, to not burn out/ fall into artblock i let myself have warmups / at least short drawing sessions where i do stuff just to experiment with different stuff or just draw my own OCs /design some characters ,
Im still feeling occasionally guilty because my inside voice tells me that i cannot draw as hobby before ill get to finish paid work, but im working on this ! And I highly recommend you this too! Sometimes i have flow and do 99% of conms/ych and then like 5 minutes of sketches for myself, and sometimes this ratio is more 50-50, but im soooo much more creative with this setup ^^
Thats very refreshing and i really recommend it to all the artists that feel guilty with doing stuff for themselves rather than only doing owed works, ☺️
