So, I've been watching a lot of Jump Ultimate Stars walkthroughs lately, and I'm almost completely convinced of having that game's gameplay as the basis for NIASB. I still haven't figured out how to translate the koma system though, since only a few of the indie franchises on it have comics for the "comic panel deck" layout to make sense. And just using stills from the shows just seem weird. it's still a work in progress (no, that doesn't mean an actual game will be in development, just a thought)

Anyway, this one is for two purposes: one is to show the new "enhanced" screen, which is based off JUS' J-Power mode where you can spend J-gems to upgrade one-slot komas up to eight-slot komas depending on the character. In this case, the "I" stands for "Indie", in case it wasn't obvious.

The other purpose is to show Rocky's redesigned render. Since I worked on the original NIASB roster since 2023, some of the render look off and outdated, so I decided to gradually update them alongside drawing new characters. Besides, the Lackadaisy cast got slight redesigns from the pilot to season 1, so it seemed better to update them for the time being. That, and over time I just found Rocky's face to look really off as the years went on.

I already did the same for Viktor too, and only Mordecai is left from the series to redesign, though since their changes are pretty minor compared to Rocky's, I don't think I'll make posts for them like this one.
