David Wills was a brilliant geneticist recruited by Thalamus to join Cranium Labs, where he was instrumental in the creation of the super serum that would be used to empower various people. Due to his short stature and timid nature, Thalamus bullied David into being the first test subject of the perfected serum. David was initially unsure of his role as a villain using his powers of force field projection, but eventually he grew to enjoy being the one to control others for a change.
