Once upon a time the Sun and the Moon were mortals on a planet near a dying star. Trying to save their world they each sacrificed themselves ascending to the skies. Saddened however by their inability to no longer actively help they left trails of their divinity in bloodlines of "Watchers" and "Torchbearers" to awaken in times the world needed them.
comments on the design:
A simpler redesign of Selune's previous design. While she is redesigned her old form is still canon. Lore-wise the realization of her divine nature shed away much of the markings that acted as chains to the nightmares and otherworldly terrors that plagued her.
Art-wise however I had received a number of complaints on the complexity of her markings and decided to simplify them while keeping the symbolism.
