My first choice of drum kits was Gretsch, but then I played a Star Classic Maple and was hooked. Except for the snare. The snare sounded horrible. I wound up trading it for a Premier 2002 brass, which was decent, but then I wound up selling it and finding a Ludwig birch in a dumpster. Now I have 3 Ludwig's a Tama Artwood and a Mapex 12" Black Panther.
People sleep on Ludwig waaayyyyy too much.

15x8 Ludwig/WFL snare (I don't know what shell it is but it has Ludwig/WFL Hardware)
I almost bought a Tama Artwood but I found the musashi for cheaper :P
