TRANSCRIPT

These tunnels were a maze, but I followed any sounds I heard. It echoed off any surface so it did get confusing at times, though as I was making some progress, I saw a blood trail.

It was Brick. He was wounded, wheezing, and covered in bloodied bandages. He was here for a while and barely conscious. I called out to him, unsure if he was friend or foe in this instance, but in his state, I doubted a fight was what he wanted.

He looked at me, unsure if what he was seeing was real. Without another word I pulled out my spare set of bandages from my backpack and addressed his wounds. Once I laid hands on him, I think he started to realize I wasn't some halucination.

He asked how I was alive, and I told him. Rose's betrayal being a cultist, my journey back to the Foundry, and the note Twitch left behind. I showed him Rose's stone as evidence of my claim. He looked at it with anger and disgust, then told me what happened after I went missing.

Rose returned to base, claiming I was the cultist that tired to kill him. He showed some of his bruises and one bullet wound on his left forearm to back his claim. Everyone, even Brick had doubts, but couldn't disprove shit. He returned, I didn't.

Apparently Twitch took my apparent betrayal the worst, she was very vocal about her disbelief about it, even once attacking Rose after a heated argument.

Not long after, the surface was going into chaos. The orbital conflict was starting to get a bit too close to the planet. This distracted the Foundry & STEEL so it was the best time to escape.

They proceeded to use the backup route I followed along, but after a little while, the Void started... shifting. It separated Rose & Brick from the others. In hindsight, this might've been orchestrated by Rose, but without his stone I don't know how.

He then tried to attack Brick with some fledgling cultist power. But without his stone to power him up, and Brick in his full set of armor, Rose had an uphill battle to take out Brick, though he didn't get out unscathed. Rose then fled the same as he did with me when he started taking too much damage.

I finished cleaning some of Brick's wounds to the best of my abilities. He will survive, but needs to regain his strength.


--Notes--
Gave some food and water to Brick as he only carried ammo with minimal supplies. We should be fine for a while but will need to figure out something.
