Today, I’m continually risking getting doxxed and robbed. I’ve bought myself the Sega Nomad. A Portable Sega Genesis, released in 1995 only in North America, it was either Segas attempt to compete against the Gameboy (which didn’t get an upgrade until the GameBoy Color in 1998) or a way to play your favorite Genesis games on the go, for 180$ USD at the time. The average working price for the Nomad is like 250$ now and days, almost as much as a Nintendo switch. Now, enough information of dubious quality, and for proper information.
Regions
I have 3 Japanese Mega Drive Games, 2 of which work on the nomad, so they’ll Prabably work on American consoles. Now the games

Dosnt Work=X
Sort of works=/
Undetermined=?
This is Mentioning Japanese games on a U.S. System.
Puyo Puyo……………..O
Puyo Puyo Tsu……….O
Virtua Racing…………? Only tested the JP version on a US console. (Didn’t work)
Don’t own but saw.
Dr. Robotnics Mean Bean Machine. X (Region locked in All versions, Just buy Puyo Puyo for Megadrive)
Duke Nukem 3D MD.O
Bear Knuckle (Japanese Verson of Streets of Rage) O
Mega Man the Wily Wars. ? (IDFK)
For those Curious, Virtua Racing says “Developed for use only with NTSC Mega Drive & PAL and French SECAM Mega Drive Systems” does that mean my Japanese game will work with PAL consoles?
NOW Here’s a big list of Regan locked mega drive games.

I remember this console. Unfortunately, it was released rather late during the Sega Genesis's life cycle when the newer Sega Saturn platform was already released within a year prior, it had an abysmal battery life that nobody could play more than 2 hours worth (even after installing a fresh set of batteries), it was so bulky and cumbersome for a handheld console that it was rather heavy for a young kid to hold while playing, and adding insult to injury was that it was overpriced for a console that ended up being below expectations — therefore that handheld console ended up being pulled from stores. Too bad Sega's attempts to sell handheld consoles to compete with the lightweight and ever-popular Game Boy at the time didn't fare well. That's why Sega's handheld market was an unmitigated disaster, save for the Game Gear that was moderately successful.
