Slim Slime Rimes is an Alolan Muk Rapper and Pirate who serves as an entertainer and hype man for his crew with hot rhymes, sick beats, and nasty burns to trash his opponents with. It would also probably be really useful to have a Muk on the ship for long voyages. With a lot of pokemon on board you are going to have a lot of waste and garbage. Rather than dumping it all in the ocean and risking the wrath of Kyogre, a Muk thrives on eating trash, and Alolan Muks don't particularly Stink like Kantonian Muks.
