G'ran is an ancient being, having existed since time immemorial.
His true nature is unknown or even comprehensible to many mortals, but over the eons he has taken a liking to the beings, scurrying around and trying to make the most of their short times.
After a specific encounter with a certain draconic mage, he decided that it would be fun to live among them for a while and created an avatar to walk among them.

As most of his worshippers connected him to the ocean's deep, he based his avatar around an octopus, an animal that had always fascinated and accompanied him during his long slumbers on the ocean floor.
Now living alongside mortals, he spends his days getting worshipped while giving blessings in return.
Though not a god in a traditional sense, he does act as a guardian for his chosen mortals, and makes sure they live happy lives, while empowering them to prosper even should he decide to leave in the future.


G'ran is from a very dear story of mine, and I finally got around to give him a design with BIG BIG thanks to  Ahnik who I swear knows my mind better than me.
I loved combining a more roman toga appearance with a fishnet undershirt, and of course fine jewlery for his status.

I do love themes of eldrich beings, and wanted to have my own twist in the past, though mine is more a benevolent variant.
