They arrived to the site of the execution. Michael was stripped to his loin cloth and laid down with the crossbeam still tied. He laid there for almost an eternity before the nails were pulled out. The soldier position the nail and fisher plate over his right hand, near his wrist. And then, it happened.
*Pow*
The nail went through the skin and fur, down through the wrist before it reached the wood. He screamed during the ordeal and then again when the second nail went through his left wrist. They then proceed to lift him up onto the upright stake, positioning him on the cross. Afterwards, the last two nails were driven into his heel bone. At this point, he only silently screamed as the pain went through his body. The stingy, electrifying pain ran through his body, along with pain in the back from the scourging. As he was reacting to the pain, the crowds below were mocking him for proclaiming himself to be king. "Why can't he just come down from the cross" some had yelled as he hanged painfully. Even the leaders took the time to make fun of him, but he didn't hear them. To him, the pain was all too loud. But, he did the one thing they couldn't stop; forgiving them. He looked into the heavens and begged to the creator to forgive them all. He may die soon, but not before defending those that did to him. His love outweighs the pain. His love is strong.
