She posted her original one about a week ago. I'm not sure if this helps the situation any, but, speaking from my own view of course, I don't think she intentionally imitated your Longthings. I can always ask her of course, if you'd like.

The only thing that is relatively similar between them is that they have exceedingly long and somewhat exaggerated torsos. Otherwise there is no similarity between your Longthings and her Owl critters. It isn't like she blatantly traced your original work or copied every bit of the design and then claimed it as her own. If she had, I would understand you and several others getting on her case. However, since there is hardly anything similar between them, I do not see the point or reason for commenting about it.
You also have to keep in mind that there have been many artists who have done something very close to your Longthings years before you posted your work, whether it is simply their style or a specific design for the creature in question.

UH, where do I mention anything about tracing? I'm just stating the fact that this person watches me, and has posted a suspiciously similar concept AFTER I did, does not bode well.

I did not say you mentioned she traced it--I was stating that it was not as though she had which is what most people jump on someone else for, when it quite obviously has not been in the first place. The concept is also not in the least bit similar to your own aside from what I mentioned previously: the exaggerated torso length. The color patterning has been done by many others and the species is completely different, let alone the pose they're set in. I personally think you're completely off base in this and that it shouldn't have been considered a problem in the first place. There is such a thing called coincidence after all.
now that i look at these, there's a similarity, but it's a completely different species and glider didn't copyright the long torsos. she could have just been inspired by them, a lot of people stem off of ideas they like, and this isn't plagiarism because it's unique to the artist.
I've always been greatly inspired by your designs, and you're Longthing design is certainly no different. I certainly didn't mean to offend you, if'n I did. In all honesty, I didn't realize how similar the poses were until you posted that link. When I was designing these, the only thought in my head was for some sort of long, elegant critter, and I will admit to having perused your gallery to see why your adopts always seem to be so successful.
I promise you I'm not trying to steal your Longthing design-- I thought I had made a base unique enough that nobody would connect them, but I guess I was wrong :< I'll tweak the design if it helps?

-hums softly- I absolutely love number 3 the pink one ♥♥♥♥ If I had money I'd buy it....or I'd trade you for it but I doubt you'd be interested in a critter colored by me with someone else's lineart. I'd do one of my own but my cam is broken atm...so I can't upload anything ;O;'
