It's truly incredible considering how they met in "The Obligated Watcher." Instead of running off on his own, he helped Michelle and Davy get out of the well. He actively participated in trying to free Sheila, and it seems like for now he'll fulfill the duty Sheila left him: taking care of Michelle and Davy. He's still a grumpy idiot, but he's definitely a loyal wolf.
If it weren't for the fact that she's eaten a full Aspen before, I'd be worried since she hasn't even reached Grendel's widest point.
Kinda sad for Grendel if he gets glorped but that's the food chain, right?
I see two ways it can go from here: you've got what most assume: Sheila will use Grendel as a bargaining chip to escape, or Sheila could obtain his title by digesting him. Disappointed in the snake, but impressed with the wolf, they could temporarily recruit her. (Doubt she'll stick around with them for long)
