I have to admit: The goofy figure without arms made me look and read. Had to look up both "homestuck" and "milpa". Interesting. I had heard of this type of farming, but didn't know what it was called.
Although I am in an 'ancient egypt' mood at the moment, this gives me an idea to draw an Aztec setting with a chinampa (artificial island in lakes to grow crops) and jaguars (who do like water after all). Let's see if I can draw wet, muddy fur ... 😅
