We all know the final scene from the movie where Rafiki says "It is time." to Simba before the latter announces the beginning of his reign from the top of Pride Rock. Nothing against Rafiki, but let's be honest: who doesn't prefer these words to come from Mufasa instead? Well, dream no longer. My fanfiction makes wishes come true.

Mufasa:
"It is time, my son..."

Sarabi:
"Make us proud, my son..."

Simba:
"I will..."
sobs
"Thank you for everything…"

Right on time for Simba's fifth birthday the time has come. After eleven years on the throne, Mufasa and Sarabi ceremoniously hand over the scepter to their son. As soon as Mufasa and Sarabi have spoken their final words as royal couple, Simba can no longer hide his feelings and bursts into tears of joy. The moment he had been waiting for so long has finally arrived. For the last time in the history of the Pride Lands there is a change of generations. Who will Simba announce as his queen now?

Wir alle kennen die letzte Szene aus dem Film, in der Rafiki zu Simba sagt „Die Zeit ist gekommen.“, bevor letzterer von der Spitze des Königsfelsens den Beginn seiner Herrschaft verkündet. Nichts gegen Rafiki, aber seien wir doch mal ehrlich: Wer zieht es nicht vor, diese Worte stattdessen von Mufasa zu hören? Nun, das Träumen hat ein Ende. Meine Fanfiction macht Wünsche wahr.

Mufasa:
„Die Zeit ist gekommen, mein Sohn...“

Sarabi:
„Mach' uns stolz, mein Sohn...“

Simba:
„Das werde ich...“

„Danke für alles…“

Pünktlich zu Simbas fünftem Geburtstag ist es soweit. Nach elf Jahren auf dem Thron geben Mufasa und Sarabi feierlich das Zepter an ihren Sohn ab. Kaum haben Mufasa und Sarabi ihre letzten Worte als Königspaar gesprochen, kann Simba seine Gefühle nicht mehr verbergen und bricht in Freudentränen aus. Der Moment, auf den er so lange gewartet hat, ist endlich da. Zum letzten Mal in der Geschichte des geweihten Landes findet ein Generationenwechsel statt. Wen wird Simba nun als seine Königin verkünden?
