Some drawings I did in my shiny new Moleskine while I was visiting family in Texas.
The middle portraits were done at a mall in Joplin, where I also visited. There were thousands of photographs of war veterans from Joplin, and I would have stayed to draw hundreds were I feeling better.
The gentleman in the bottom left hand corner is my great-grandfather Ricardo, who is very frail and is now in Mexico to pass away in the same land he was born and lived in. I'm very lucky to have seen him one last time so I could draw his portrait. And a baseball bat because he was a minor league player in his prime.
