Weeks turned into months, and the whispers in the gym began. "Look at Wooyeong," one of the other regulars murmured. "He's really putting on size." Wooyeong overheard them, a flicker of pride warming his chest as he finished a bench press, the bar feeling noticeably heavier than before. He caught his reflection again – a definite fullness in his pecs, the rounding of his biceps more pronounced. "There it is," he grinned to himself. "The hard work is paying off." Downing a protein shake, he bumped into a friend. "Hey, looking good, Wooyeong!" his friend exclaimed. "You've been hitting the weights hard?" Wooyeong chuckled. "You could say that. Still got a long way to go, though. Gotta keep that intensity up!" His workouts became a focused obsession, each meal meticulously planned, each rep executed with a growing sense of power.

"정말 몸이 커지고 있어." 우영은 벤치프레스를 끝내고 묘한 자부심이 가슴을 따뜻하게 채우는 것을 느끼며 그들의 말을 엿들었다. 바벨은 이전보다 훨씬 더 무겁게 느껴졌다. 그는 다시 거울에 비친 자신의 모습을 바라보았다. 가슴 근육에 확실한 볼륨이 생겼고, 이두근의 봉긋함도 더욱 뚜렷해졌다. "바로 이거야." 그는 혼잣말로 빙긋 웃었다. "그렇다고 할 수 있지. 하지만 아직 갈 길이 멀어. 이 강도를 계속 유지해야 해!" 그의 운동은 몰두 그 자체가 되었고, 매 끼니는 세심하게 계획되었으며, 매 반복 운동은 점점 더 커지는 힘에 대한 확신을 담고 수행되었다.
