This is the fruit of a little friendly competition between Kit Kiama and I that never actually took off. See, around Easter 2006, we challenged each other to see who could come up with the cuter design for a PrideLands!Riku. Needless to say my style does not lend towards "cuteness", and so I just went with good old-fashioned crack. Riku is not a Lion, no. He is a cheetah. Why is he a cheetah? Because his hair reminds me of the fluff that cheetah cubs have so that they can blend into the grass. That's all. Later on I made up this whole list of facts that are actual reasons for Riku to be a cheetah, but really I just wanted him to have cub fluff, because I think that everyone, especially Riku, needs to be reminded that he is still, in fact, a kid.
