Some months ago I sketched this out as an add-on to a two-year-old art-trade pic I did, "Cheetah Trackstar". At the time I said I thought enough of the design to consider making her a regular part of my character set, pending some "serious" inspiration, as I don't add characters willy-nilly to my permanent character set (the last one was Nei'Chelle in 2001).
Well, that inspiration hasn't hit 100% yet, but I did re-do the character in a more updated manner. This and one full-body sketch were done during breaks in commission work, as these and a few other pics were the only "me for me" artwork I did during that time. This particular sketch took about three hours of work from scanning the pencils to (fighting with Inkscape to ink it) what you see here, so nothing new technique-wise--I'm just dressing up some sketches so they don't have to languish in the Scraps folder.
Near as I can tell from looking at the two sketches, this one's going to be on the hyper side, perhaps with a penchant for getting into trouble from springing into action before thinking things out. Needless to say, being a cheetah, she's going to be pretty fast (she's got track & field in her background, natch) but not especially tough.
Hmm, I guess at this point all she needs is a name.
