This is my half of an art trade with Nylak of DA of her character Xian Xue who is a ferocious heavy set dog character that in some ways reminded my of a chow chow. I had difficulty in portraying this dog and I didn’t want to draw another cliché snarling wolf-like creature so decided to go another route and stylize this character after the ancient Guardian Chinese Lion Dogs, that protect temples and homes, it seemed fitting his character.
