You're probably wondering how on earth did these pokemon anthro exist (well, its for other thing lmao) but in general, how does these anthros exist as a whole.

These anthros were born or rather created first in an isolated region known as Sageo, a region full of researchers and professors who are mostly independant and works for both associates and criminals. One of these affilations are known as SPRI (Sageo's Pokemon Research Institute), led by Prof. Stein Bruches (the guy you seen on that pic)

One of these incidents were an experiment of fusing the gene of mew and a sample of a human blood, creating a hybrid of a humanoid Mew as a whole. The plan was success but it lacks the materials or the genes of Mew itself. But when they used other similiar genes to Mew like Mewtwo, things has going crazy as the power of the Mewtwo genes were unstable and the gene has gone haywire, causing an outbreak in the Sageo.

The outbreak causes a multiple mutation towards many people, also causing sudden evolution into another abomination. But rather to scrap the project, Prof. Stein finds a new way to make a newer sample by using the mutated people of Sageo and creating a new humanoid pokemon as a whole. The process was sucessful, because the gene were mixed from the human blood and the pokemon gene. Hence creating a lifeform with proper health and personalities.

But despite the success, the professor knew that leaving out in the Sageo would cause trouble due to the remaining mutated people. So, the professor and the remaining escort the mutants away from Sageo, but leaving anything of their research in the region forever.

The condition of the professor and the other were still unfound and remain a mystery. But maybe, they could still be alive somewhere. Somewhere they could still watch their creations grow and create a new civilization of Humanoid pokemons in the Sageo.
