...but what if we made them female?
It's a bit of a worn brick I'm digging up with this, but I promise it's not worth it lol
I don't fully remember the circumstances, but on one particular Stream, there was mention of various 0w0 artwork on the internet and, as a joke, a set of six numbers got spat out: 34 63 13. If you know your old RPG's and the Rules of the Internet, congratulations: you'll find about 75 entries with your MSG, give or take. The work in question, I'll leave you to puzzle out because I don't really feel right linking to specific offbrand.
I think it was during a Passpartout Stream specifically, it sounds like something I'd inadvertently talk about there. The two times I've drawn Female Red XIII (oops, was thay supposed to be a secret?) were SFW: once as a Passpartout drawing, and this. I could be convinced to draw more, give them a name like Ruby XIII to help distinguish this variant from the original, definitely less anthropomorphic original. At the same right, though, I'll mention I don't really care for Final Fantasy... like, at all. The mere mention of this has gotten me cricified at several points, because Final Fantasy is the Zeitgeist for most people, when they hear 'Oh, you play RPG's?' I have similar words to say about a lot of the RPG's people put in that Zeitgeist:
-Super Mario RPG is clunky, hard to control and, for me, kinda boring.
-Chrono Trigger is a Guide Game that, while it does do summat revolutionary for the time in having so many different endings and the Hybrid Art system is cool, has a fairly weak and overhyped storyline, coupled with a flawed and super slow battle system.
-Don't get me started with Final Fantasy 7, we'll be here all week as I list the malaproper memes, the start of the 'Torporing' of Final Fantasy gameplay, the messy maps where you get nothing but lost, eclectic Luck Mechanics, and members of the cast that really don't provide much incentive to use them without leaning on Materia, to which they no longer have an Identity, etc. Remake fixes pieces, but reintroduces issues in a different flavor; Battles still end up glacial, but because everything takes forever-mashing to kill instead of thirty second techniques, for example.
-I grew up on Tales of Symphonia, 'playing' it as P2 with my sister Rune. I say that, because I was more mashing spells as Genis on account of camera bullshit. Besides, Xillia does that game's Battle System better in every regard and while the story is decent, a lot of the same tropes are echoed in other Tales games later on.
-Thousand Year Door? It's the best Paper Mario RPG, sure, but that's a low bar to clear and sorry, I'd sooner go to Persona.
...I'm digressing. 34 63 13 became the shorthand meme for 'Sexy Female Red XIII', which still gets a mention every now and again. With this, I'm likely doing my part to keep the memory up lol
