Posting this as proof that I am actually serious about making Shaymus. It's been a long time since I've dug out the foam and glue gun. Far too long.

I feel that I've improved...somehow...since my last endevor in foam carving. I enjoy it, yet hate it at the same time. I'm very proud of how Shaymus looks even without his fur just yet...and special thanks to my mamaw for helping to make sure everything was as symetrical as it could possibly be without driving me mad.

New method on footpaws. I really like the toe shape, and the lack of over-hang on the end. I dont' want to feel like I'm trying to run in flippers. I need something cute, yet practical. They will have latex pawpads, to boot. That's not till much later though. ;)

I merely put that ugly cell-phone quality pic on there to show proportion with my head, as well as jaw placement. It still doesn't do justice to it, but at least it gives you general idea.
