The year is 2191, Jan visits the wasteland that he once called his home to reflect upon his life, before getting his coalition together and began to get to work on repairing his home world and setting up strong defenses from further attacks that led to this
There's a bit of lengthy lore behind Jan R. Volkazare, but to keep it as short as i can, he was born into the wealthy Volkazare family with 2 brothers and 1 sister on the planet of Korkhia. Then, in 2077, he ended up catching a rare form of cancer native to his homeworld, and after getting severely injured in an ambush that ended up killing his younger brother, Paxton, he would reluctantly agree to be put into cryostasis as a way for his family's corporation and their business partners to have the time to come up with a cure that will help with Jan's condition. Almost 100 years later, he would be taken out of cryostasis and given an experimental serum that got rid of his cancer and previous injuries but transformed his entire body into becoming a hybrid between his Desert Lizardman form and the Korkhian Sandworm as his lower body merged to form one long tail. Afterwards, he would be visited by 2 of his surviving relatives, with one being his grandson, Athan. His grandson would inform him that his planet was a wasteland that was in grave danger. Athan and a few military instructors ended up teaching Jan combat skills and trained him the best they could. Once he got rehabilitated, Jan would go on to use these skills to his advantage and form a coalition with the help of an old friend to travel across the planet to repair the damage done by hostile forces and defend his planet from further attacks.
that's about all i have for the lore at the moment and i've still got a lot to write and stuff to come up with. I will probably post what i've written as a separate FA entry in the future

Speaking of Dune tho, i got inspired to create Jan after reading up on Leto II Atreides from God Emperor of Dune after being a fan of the movies and wondered how the books were like, then afterwards, it sparked my curiosity how an actual sandworm/anthro hybrid would look like from my perspective which resulted in this character
