This was my first commission of Anthrocon 2011, less than 15 minutes after taking my seat in Artist's Alley. Funny thing about this one, I didn't realize Lady LaBlanc was a snow leopard until I was well into the artwork :). Now that summer con season is over, I have a couple more entries in my list of markers that need to be replaced, the exact shade of red used on her hair just barely covering what it needed to cover.
As a late inspiration, I added the parasol upon the commissioners' suggestion that the character enjoys of frilly things, (and partly to offset the lack of creativity embodied by my electing to use an existing outfit depicted on another badge provided as reference, rather than designing a new outfit--although to be fair, there wasn't enough room on the 4x3 badge for that kind of innovation. (you might've noticed the top border of the badge bows upward to accomodate the peak of her hairdo :D )
Copic inks over pencil with Prismacolor markers on bristol, contrast and saturation adjusted photograph.
