This is a foie gras on toast with strawberries, a basil sauce and a microgreen salad.
I don't know what it is, but almost every high end restaurant I've been to, the first course has been the best course. By a large margin, no less. This was also the case. Having never had foie gras before, I was REALLY excited to try this course. It exceeded my expectations. The foie gras was very smokey and creamy. The toast gave it that nice little crunch it needed. The strawberries sweetness perfectly counterpointed the smokey gras. The basil added a nice side flavor that also complemented and the micro-greens added the just needed hint of salt. This was a WILDLY successful dish.
