NinyaNub ! Of their mustelid species, a big project I was super happy to work at! This is a Moose Rider!
Here is some lore about them(written by Ninya):
Moose riders are a common sight when the forest folk march to war, and even in times of peace their presence can be noticed by the calls of their steeds. When a mustelid is chosen to become a rider, they march into the deepwoods to pair with a moose, and they form a bond that lasts for life. If either party is grievously injured or pass, the remaining half succumbs to depression and dismay, or if in battle, will fight to the death, no matter the odds. Moose have grand religious importance to the forest folk, and the riders are one of their ways to express this. In times of peace they patrol the woods, seen by few, but heard by many. The moose riders do not wear any kind of saddle, nor do they use a bridle, the bond between rider and steed is such that they can act as one. However, do not take this as the moose being put in a subordinate position, as they are fiercely proud and independent. Equal partners, the moose riders are a proud tradition of the forest folk.
