Character design in progress of Zamani, who just may be the world's most adorable mandrill. Or, at least that's the effect I'm hoping for. :)

Zam, Zam-Zam, Zammie, rainbow-butt, whatever you wanna call him, is sweet, adventurous, and good-natured. He's not the show-offy prankster that a lot of monkeys tend to be, but he sure loves to laugh. A lot. So much that he usually forgets what it is he was laughing at. As a matter of fact, if you're trying to sneak around somewhere, don't take him with you. If he gets one of his ten minute gigglefits, you're done for. His constant companion, Sasha, has learned this the hard way.

And for the record, yes, his ass is in bright and cheery technicolor.

Now that I've got the basic idea down, I'm gonna play with the design a bit and try to exaggerate his features. He also deserves a color pic, I think, coz' mandrills are PRETTY.
