When I created Willow, I based her character off of a very simple concept:
"Willow was born with brittle bones and bad luck".
But I never really expanded on that. I sort of just stuck her in a full body cast and left it at that. I've had an impulse recently to write a little bit more about her life leading up her accident and actually outline what the accident was. I've never described the accident that left Willow permanently encased in plaster and left it up to the imagination. I have a basic idea of what I want to do, but would love to hear your thoughts/ideas/suggestions.
1. What do you think of this human depiction of Willow? Moreso a questions for the DeviantArt crowd, as I'll keep her as a deer here on FurAffinity, but I'd like to hear your thoughts all the same!
2. What was Willow's life like prior to her accident?
3. What was the accident (or series of accidents) that left Willow in a seemingly permanent full body cast? I was leaning towards several, increasingly severe accidents occurring in quick succession, but would like to hear your thoughts.
4. And what would you like to see in future pictures/stories depicting Willow in her full body cast?
Feel free to comment or send me a note with your ideas!

1. As pretty much an only furry enjoyer, I'll leave this question for others :p
2. I always imagined it as being super bright, happy, and full of opportunity. In fact, one of the things I always pictured was her as an aspiring musician, like someone who would play the violin or viola or something. She was primed to go to a super upscale university, had options lined up for being a star performer, everything. Of course, that all changed when she had her accident(s) which have left her encased, immobile, and alone for 4 years and counting. For some reason I also imagined her having a sister she was super close with, but after the accident she started visiting Willow less and less over time, just like the rest of her friends and family.
3. As for her accident? 100% it was a massive, almost never-ending series of cartoonishly over the top brutal shenanigans. I think you and I even talked about this before. But yeah just stuff like falling down a hill into active traffic and getting bounced around, before it causes a pile-up that causes a massive semi-truck to land squarely on top of her. And by the time the EMTs are able to pull her out of the wreckage, her own ambulance ends up running her over too. They air lift her out only for the helicopter to be holding her stretcher too low so she hits the tops of every building and tree along the way, they get her to a hospital room only for it to be the wrong building that was actually scheduled for demolition that day, etc. I also read a good cast story once in which a woman is handed the leash of a massive great dane dog, and it sees a cat and begins chase, dragging her body behind it as she smacks into every passing car and object. And after being hospitalized, the same thing happens all over again with the dog completely on accident dragging her broken casted body all throughout the hallways and streets until she looks more like a clump of dirty rags than someone in a full body cast. Whatever happened to Willow I think it should 100% be a lengthy series of events rather than one thing. And who knows, maybe someday there could be a Willow story in which she gets into ANOTHER accident while she's already casted? Could just be a non-canon side story though lol
4. Future stories? I think one of your unfinished story fragments had some interesting potential, where Willow gets a review that discovers that her condition is actually deteriorating, with her ribs and eyesockets fracturing and the doctors can't figure out why. I think it would be a cool twist to reveal that the cast she has been literally entombed in is just so bulky and heavy that it's making things worse. The "No healing even after 4 years" is 100% just her natural body, like that would be the case either way, but her cast being as bulky as it is is literally making things worse and more fractured. The doctor's cure? Obviously a bigger and more rigid cast with lots of metal bracings and such. Oh and of course you could also go the route that I mentioned in my previous pointer of having her somehow getting into another accident or something. I feel sort of bad about it, I know that half of what some people enjoy about cast fetish is the wholesome aspects of getting better, like Willow being moved to a bigger, more well lit room with more people to interact with, so on and so on. But I can't help it- I love seeing scenarios get more extreme even when you think it's already reached a peak x3
Sorry for yappin', excited to see what you have in store regardless!
