Some days there are things that seem frightening, things that keep us pinned in bed wondering why we couldn’t just hide away and let the fear pass us by. But facing fears can make us stronger. I’ve had a bunch of things this year I’ve faced. Fear of putting my art out there for others to see. Fear of going to a con despite my desire to do so which was itself a fear of being around large groups of strange people. I mean, we’re all strange but it’s intimidating to meet people outside of your normal bubble.

I’m not exactly young, but I have been pushing myself to expand beyond my comfort more and more this year and I feel like I’ve been growing because of it. Artistically, and otherwise. Also… human noses are REALLY hard for me still. Need to keep working on those and face that artistic fear too.
