Save him!!!
A lot of people still have no idea about the status of the lion...the population has decreased with 90%, from 200.000 to approximately 20.000 individuals..in 10 years! 
Poaching, people hunting for pleasure, habitat destruction and hunting traditions of native people are the main reasons for the rapid decline of the lion population. I'm really worried about those wonderful cats...if we don't do anything, this amazing species will only be visible in zoo's...in a few years.

Anyway, this pose and atmosphere came up just randomly. Maybe after watching the documentary Big-Cat-Odyssey. And I later realised that I already have drawn one of my Siderians in this pose ^^
I've used some 'messy' brushes to get a kind of 'wild fur' texture. I saw on photo's of lions that they don't have a smooth coat at all.
