After escaping the Moonstone Kingdom Aivras had to avoid using his future sight for a while while he put some distance between himself and his homeland. Whenever he looked into his future all he could see were scrambling images, futures flashing in and out of reality as his indecisive mind leapt between possibilities and plans. He had no idea where to go, he had never been so far from what he knew. But he knew he had to keep flying, and he couldn't rely on knowing what would happen next anymore.
Thoughtful piece I did of Aivras in a recent stream, I've got a few pictures of Phyra flying now but felt like it was time for my Moonstone dragon to take flight too. Decided to give him a bit more of an anxious expression despite the beautiful morning sky colours behind him, which I think adds nicely to the story behind the art.

Pretty much, I imagine even if he could fly and use his future vision at the same time (which would basically be flying blind) the number of options for what to do next makes it totally worthless. In a sense, getting caught by Cadymus probably helped him get back to using it normally again since he quickly understood there'd be no escape from him, at least not for a while.
This is just astounding to see an amazingly lovable character like Aivras as he began his journey, unaware of what "adventures" he would soon find himself in! Your works and characters are always so flipping lovable and sensationally detailed to see in your wonderfully lovable artstyle, and I'm stoked to seeing more of your wonderfully lovable artworks and ever snuggable derg in the future! Keep doing great!
