Loving the lore building here Chu~ And I love seeing the different biomes in hell. And gotta say it but Damn do demons deserve a better leader then Syndel I get the feeling he kind of cares for the demons but in a more selfish and prideful way not actual affection.

Yeah no I'm not buying it. I'll believe it's the real Syndel when Chu outright tells us he is or when there's strong in-universe evidence that he's not just keeping up the act. Until then, this is nothing but an imposter who probably stole divine power somehow. The real Syndel might just be dead entirely.

Yeah, that's my current working theory. It explains a lot IMO, and there's no strong evidence to the contrary that I've seen yet.
I bet the angelic elites have something to do with this. With heaven as corrupt as it is, and "Syndel" being an angel... it seems like something happened to Gaia, maybe Syndel went off to figure out where his old enemy is now, got gotten, and now they have Death as well. Or something.
There's not enough evidence to be conclusive, but something really, really fishy is going on.

My current theory -- it seemed that at one time, Syndel and Gaia were lovers, that big statue at St. Curtis suggested that, and had some kind of falling out, hence the various angel vs demon wars. Maybe recently the two kissed and made up, and decided that it was easier to just abandon the world that they wrecked with their own lover's spat, and went off to make something new? There's just enough missing information to prevent putting those pieces of the puzzle together.
