Good poem. I do agree, though. America's not really how it's supposed to be.
All these laws really hinder their purpose, and some hinder freedom, or even what's right.
All this surveillance makes me uneasy, as well, as if anything I say or do can be used against me in the future. Probably does the same to everyone else.
And this country's deathly afraid of terrorists, of all things. Check out Boston, blowing up anything that "looks suspicious", even traffic counters.
Under Bush's reign, America is a danger to itself. Hopefully the next president will fix this.

I'm not much into poetry, maybe because I can't write it...but I disagree with all of it. Cries for "Peace" go unheard, because like in World War II, these terrorist (like the Japanese) are not going to stop and sit down with us a table and work out our differences. Their faith has them thinking "You join our religion, or you die", because Ahla (Please correct me if I spell anything wrong, because I probably will) cannot come to Earth without everyone believing in Islam.
And America needed Bush, he might be wussing out for our boarders, and I'm pissed about that, but we simply cannot stand aside and watch the world crumble to these terrorist...these cowards who blow themselves up and take as many innocence with them.
I have nothing to hide, so I don't mind a little surveillence...I don't want it going over the top where the government is watching me while I shower, but it will never get to that. Maybe under a Liberal president reign, but not under Bush's, and not under a Republican.
If anyone wants to sit down and chat with me about any of this, you can, and I'm almost certain I can counter any of your arguments. This country is great, it is the best in the world, I live on a beautiful ten acre plot of land, I have a horse, I watch the news and read it daily, and I pray for our troops off fighting and dying for us, so people, like Liberals, can sit here and moan about how evil America is, and not fear of a terrorist...some spineless moron ramming a plane into our place of business.
