I saw this meme going around on social media and I wanted to give it a try!
-Current favourite: Denji from Chainsaw Man.
This one was tough to choose since my fandom hyperfixations keeps changing, but I started to watch Chainsaw Man while I was making this meme. I can get squeamish when it comes to gory animes, but so far, It's a pretty good series and I already like Denji a lot! So it's a good start! ^w^
-Comfort character: Stolas from Helluva Boss
I know Stolas has become a very divisive character since the season 2 finale of Helluva Boss, but despite what the haters says, I honestly think that it's his flaws that makes him a well fleshed-out character. ^w^ Stolas has become a very comforting character for me because he's a great example of how a character can still be likeable and sympathetic despite being in the wrong, his design is absolutely beautiful and Bryce Pinkham did a fantastic job voicing him. ^^ I will never get tired of listening to his songs (especially "Just look my way" ❤️).
-By design: The Dragon from Damsel
For a movie that I thought was just "Ok", the Dragon was obviously the best part. X3 Her design have a lot of things that I love when it comes to western dragon designs such as her throat glowing when she's about to breathe fire and some feline traits and behavior. Since it takes a lot for me to be scared of a dragon, I think the filmmakers did a fantastic job making this dragoness absolutely terrifying and beautiful at the same time!
-By plot: Charlie B. Barkin from All Dogs go to Heaven
I haven't said it yet, but I am a big Don Bluth fan and his movies were a big inspiration for my art style and my comic! ^^ The reason why I chose Charlie for this spot is because I love his whole character development as he started off as a selfish con artist who learns to be more caring as the movie goes on until his redemption in the end. ^^
-Guilty favourite: Ranka Ookami from Seton Academy: Join the Pack!
Yeah I know, this series is dumb and weird, the sexual dimorphism of the animal characters have very disturbing implications and the main protagonist is an asshole, but Ranka is one of the reasons why I can't hate this anime. X3 I love the fact that her hyperactive and exciteable personality is a nice change from the "Noble Wolf" trope we see in most wolf characters, she's very loyal to all of her friends (even Jin despite him being a total jerk) and her goal of being the leader of a multi-species pack makes her a very sweet and likeable character in my opinion. ^w^
- All time favourite: Toothless from How to train your Dragon
I think you all saw it coming! X3 My favourite character from my favourite movie franchise and my number 1 favourite dragon! ❤️ What else can I say about Toothless? He has a unique design, the fact that he's disabled is something that we don't see often in dragon characters and he's absolutely adorable. ^w^
