Aww.. they are so cute! Iv been pondering about getting a rat. But Im kind of curious.. dont they pee all the time? Wild rats do, but Im not sure if pet rats do.

mine pee'd quite a bit at first, but i think it's mostly because they were a little freaked out. Now they don't pee very much outside of their cage. Usually only if they get freaked out. They're adorable and sweet creatures. <3

I will have to add a little bit of info on that: rats normally pee a little bit to mark their territory. Once they know you're safe they stop doing it. Of course little rittens do have accidents, just like they'll accidentally poop on you, but hey, they're babies, what do you expect.

And even then - the scent marking is very little and thank goodness, rat pee doesn't smell that badly. They're such a gentle creatures <3
