because otherpeople were getting for free... what I had to pay 20 bucks for

and just in case your wondering how it went from 20 to 50 here's how I broke it down

TF2= $20
Portal=$20
Half-Life 2=$10

I know I'm a bit late to the party here, but think of it like this. People like you and I who played way way before it was FTP had YEARS of playtime before the new players just hopping on board :P

Pay to play = You'll play it and enjoy it 'cause you bought it.
Free to Play = All remaining value is less than that of a penny.

well in a way it's more like Pay to Win

I mean sure you get to play the best FPS ever for free now... but in order to get the better weapons you need to cough up some dough XD
