The two were seemingly inseparable, supporting each other through thick and thin, eventually graduating and funding their own lab. Together they would work tirelessly and achieve notable advancements in the fields of medicine and bioengineering, garnering the attention of the press and the scientific community at large. Then something would happen, the details are unclear but Arthur and Frank would have a falling-out and a following incident at the lab would see their workplace destroyed. Arthur has by now abandoned his dreams of grandeur, retiring to his personal life from the public eye and focusing his work to support his sister and newly born niece.

Torn on her choice to become a superhero, Arthur helps her out with his guidance and scientific expertise but is also working on a cure to neutralize her powers if the need arises, wishing for her to live normal life and feeling responsible for the accident.
