I've been really inspired to create my own fan dragon species for the How To Train Your Dragon universe after I've been designing nothing but Fury species for a while. So meet the Streamliner.
For a long time I've really wanted to design a tidal class Eastern dragon in the HTTYDverse (and I mean TRADITIONAL serpentine Eastern dragons, not that ugly two-headed unbalanced mess that Wu and Wei from The Nine Realms are).
And since the HTTYD dragons are notorious for being directly influenced by real animals I wanted the Streamliner to strongly resemble an otter. There's a BIT of a seal inspiration in my design too, but I mostly referenced otters, given Eastern dragons' strong association with water and how they borrow more from mammal traits than reptile traits
Despite being mostly aquatic, Streamliners can still fly even without wings by swimming and gliding through the air. Don't question how it works, that's just how it is with traditional Eastern dragons. Streamliners typically come in blue, green, or white, or something in between.

It would be so cool to see Eastern dragons in the HTTYD universe (that thing from the sequel series that shall not be named doesn't count obviously lol).
The Streamliner having otters and seals as inspiration is so smart and it was a great idea to continue the series theme of using real animals as inspiration for the dragon species.

Thank you! It was quite challenging since Eastern dragons already have such distinct designs. But I love how much the HTTYD dragons draw inspiration from real animals and even plants in terms of their designs, a long streamlined tidal class dragon would be matched perfectly with aquatic mammals like otters and seals
