Count Orlok, the Wallachian Solomonar Smilodon, made a pact with Hades during prehistoric times, becoming a vampire to escape certain death from a deadly plague. However, not only did he gain immortality—he also became a carrier of the very plague he sought to avoid. Realizing the power of his condition, he began using it to his advantage, wiping out entire prehistoric clans by spreading the plague among them.
