Rhydian was originally a bit of a loner, preferring to be on his own rather than around others, but spending time with Hermione and her family and friends helped him open up little by little. He still has his moments of wanting time to himself, but he's not against being with others. His initial reluctance to socialise came from his being thought abandoned by his parents, and being bounced from one pack to another and never really feeling like he 'belonged', and so chose to distance himself from others as a method to protect himself from heartbreak and disappointment. Luckily, he's found where he feels he belongs, and his fear of abandonment has given rise to an immense amount of ferocious protectiveness of his family.
Quite observant and artistic, he has an eye for detail, and can spot details others might miss or overlook, including his wife and father-in-law. This has led to him pointing out some flaws in their thoughts or plans by pointing out something they overlooked.
Unlike Hermione, he has a better ability to lie, but only lies when it's necessary, and prefers honesty. However, he also has a habit of telling half-truths and omitting information.
He can be exceptionally stubborn, and usually once he's got an idea or plan, very little will sway him from following through.
