I love the Buzzy Beetle in the bottom. Not sure why, but Spinies and Buzzy Beetles were always a fav of mine.

I could see Toad being awesome to play as in a co-op style game, with his strength, but man his crummy jumping makes him a niche character.

It's weird how current Birdo's mouth is constantly gaping open. It made more sense on NES where it only opened to propel eggs.

I played Toad all the time. His digging ability was awesome. Yeah everyone wants to be the princess because she can fly, but she also takes like four years to get a turnip out of the ground.

You're thinking of Luigi, he is the one that no one ever plays as in that game, ever.

Also that is an awesome Birdo.

Well, of course not. Compared to how everybody else in the game had something useful, being "TheMario" (the proverbial basic character) was a disservice to Mario. 8D

But yeah, this is a good concept sketch right here. I love the Bowser and Wart.
