Day 169 - March 22nd, 2741

Twitch needed an extra pair of hands to help with some delicate tasks. Gunner was too nervous, and Wrench had too much on her hands to help. So that left me.

I think we got along well. She didn't try to scare me like she does with Gunner. We chatted throughout the day, but conversations were sporadic. She can't keep focused on a conversation and work at the same time.

But for what we did talk about, was some of Twitch's past. Mostly with the gang, and reluctantly, sometimes before that. In the gang, her energetic and loud nature made many treat her like a child, even though she isn't far off 30 years old. As expected, this angers her. But they don't push things too far as it's well known that she retaliates. Very few treat her decently.

But before the gang, she was a largely normal young teenager. Still a bit quirky but not what she is now. When her village fell, all her family went with it. It threw her into a deep depression and regression that broke her completely. Its implied that this is where she started going crazy. She took comfort in whatever little things she could. She already had an interest in pyrotechnics, so seeking comfort in it led to an obsession of anything fire and later explosive alike.

During the conversation about her time before Quincy, I noticed Wrench looking over to us with a careful look. Clearly this conversation doesn't happen with anyone.

I think I'm starting to understand her. Someone who lost it all and broke apart. Clinging onto anything she had left until it became her. I should be careful not to go down the same path, or end up like this.
