Let me tell you a story, kiddo.

There once was a man who wanted nothing more than to be remembered, to live on in eternity within the minds of those who knew of his exploits. He'd spend a good chunk of his life serving the ADF as an obedient little soldier, helping others like a hero should! Then he'd meet a woman from the AEF, Nakyra was her name. That woman would serve as his rival, the two competing to prove their superiority over one another, both equally matched... until one day, they felt feelings that were beyond their childish rivalry. The man would retire, settle down with Nakyra, and try for a child.

The result? A failure. A prematurely hatched waste of genetic material that wouldn't serve as a proper heir to his legacy. A spit in his face. So he'd abandon his pathetic spawn and the wretched woman who birthed it, leaving them for dead in a blizzard. He'd leave the pack, leave the corpses of his family, and he'd get off of Avalon's surface. He'd struggle, of course, living alone moving from colony to colony. The man turned to petty crime, pretty crime turned to murder... and murder swiftly turned to atrocities against his species. Insanity, people claimed, those who viewed the man as a hero sought to prove something drove him off the deep end.

In truth, the fools just didn't have enough of a brain to realize that I was this way the entire time. My kindness? My heroism? A mask I wore to get others talking about me. It was all one big game that I was manipulating in my favor. Only now have I realized that being a horrid person is a much easier way to make my name be remembered.
