Centralposthuset, Malmö, Skåne, Sverige 🇸🇪
Also known as The Central Post Office, this building was designed by Ferdinand Boberg and built between 1904 and 1906. It is a building in the style of Romantic nationalism, popular in the years around 1900. Inspired by the Brick Gothic from the middle ages, common especially in the cities around the Baltic Sea. The unusually large cupolas of the two towers is a detail that caused some debate at the time. Boberg was pleased with how this building turned out and commented in a letter from 1907 that it was perhaps his best work. The top floor was given an added row of windows in 1944 designed by Erik Lallerstedt. It became a listed building in 1935 and was restored and modernized between 2006 and 2020.
