Some general info:

Jay was infected not long into the adventure by another werewolf, and endured a lot of physical and mental suffering from his newfound curse. Over the months, Jay weould learn to adapt with his new form that would visit him once a month, and grew somewhat used to it (outside of the extreme agony of the transformation itself). Later on, Jay had his curse converted to a blessing by Dakota, a wolfess who specialized in werewolves and related subjects, and became a Lycan. This allowed him to transform whenever he wanted. without the influnece of lunar events. Jay also has control over his instincts, cannot infect people, and experiences a quick and painless transformation when he decides to transform. This form allows Jay to use his unstoppable might as a force for good, and fight against the very forces that gave him the curse in the first place.
