That's the smell of dead assassin smelling of flowers in the air.
It does make me wonder how long Rossweisse will put up with these attempts?
My guess is until her charge is put in direct danger, but considering being close to her puts her in potential danger that line being crossed is getting closer and closer with each attempt.

bow's useless now, no chance of keeping a grip until it's been washed and let to dry which he doesn't have time for......eyes are probably burning if it's old-style soaps or perfumes. just bloody stupid to try and take another shot in any event, too likely he'd get caught regardless and if you get caught you don't get paid. of course, things are probably a good deal worse than he could have guessed but that's what bravado gets you in this kind of work.
